Clamouring distance; There is a subtle loneliness in the work of Calgary local Moss Harvest aka Matt Harrison. His recent move to Nova Scotia has surfaced an upfront aesthetic that could be described as tribal materialism backdropped by the beautiful bouquet of dark trudging ambience. Iliac Viscera is a complex piece of tape manipulations and truly a mechanical feat recorded in one swift take. While the first half slams with tension and urgency, the second half feels like it has sense of release and even comfort in the process.
